Over 160 students and teachers participated in our Bicentennial School project this year! Saraland Middle School was one of 200 schools in the state to be selected as a Bicentennial School and to be awarded a $2,000 grant to complete a project that connects students to our community. SMS partnered with the Cleveland House in Saraland, a place where adults with special needs gather weekly for a time of socializing. Each month a different group served at the Cleveland House, leading a craft and other activities. These are the groups who participated: FCCLA, Art, Band, Spanish Club, STEM, Choir, PE, FBLA, and Project Outreach.
