Saraland City Schools is pleased to introduce Mr. Alex Crane as Principal of Saraland Middle School. Mr. Crane comes to Saraland Middle School from Mobile County where he has served as Principal of Citronelle High School since 2003. Previously, he has served as principal of Pillans Middle School and Hillsdale Middle School, and as assistant principal of B.C. Rain High School. Collectively, his administrative experience spans over fourteen years, with proven success in student achievement. While at Citronelle, he helped the school achieve recognition as a 21st Century school; one of only two high schools in Mobile County with this distinction.
Mr. Crane's teaching experience includes six years as a special education classroom teacher and coach at Satsuma High School, where he also coached varsity football, track and baseball. He also taught special education and coached at Adams Middle School from 1990-1991.
Mr. Crane holds a Bachelor's degree from The University of Alabama, a Master's degree from the University of South Alabama, and Administrative Certification from Alabama State University.
